The Big 5 M-O

Miss Wylee turns 5 months old tomorrow!! I can't believe how fast that went, well I kind of can but still kind of can't. Wylee is the sweetest little baby that I could have asked for. No offense to Jared but we all know he wasn't the easiest baby to take car of, especially not for a first timer like me. She is so smiley, and happy and she laughs all the time. She is rolling over now, too! Just to one side though. Wylee is also sleeping in her big girl bed all by herself now :( . It was sad to have her leave our room but I think she gets better sleep in her own room. Plus she likes to wake up and stare at the pink walls. Who wouldn't though? She's 13 pounds, so she's a tiny thing, but she still has some rolls on her arms and legs. She isn't starving, don't worry. Rice cereal in a month and then the baby foods, it seems like it was forever until we could start feeding Jared that stuff. All that pretty hair that she had is falling out and starting to come back light blonde like Jared's. She has managed to keep all the hair that was on top of her head though. I like to give her a nice comb over. Well that's about all I have for now!

I've been inspired...

...by Ashley Howry! Haha, for real though. I have been feeling sooo down in the dumps lately. I think it's credited to staying at home with the kids and them still being too young to enjoy a lot of things. Sometimes I feel like the walls are just closing in. Well I knew that I needed to do something to get out of my rut because it was starting to take over. Ashley is so creative with her sewing machine and one day I hope I can be as good as she is :) Anyways, a very close friend of mine is having a baby boy in September so I thought that making her a baby blanket would be something that might cheer me up. Well it did. Not only did it cheer me up but it really lit a fire under me. I loved making that thing so much that I just had to show everyone that I thought might appriciate it, and even a few that probably wouldn't lol. Well, that email has sparked a few interests in my blanket making. So I have now completed two other blankets other than Johnna's, and I have a lady that I don't even know that is paying me to make one for her by the end of may and another in september. So as of the end of next week I will have sold two blankets. Not too bad for a stay at home mom, huh?!!? So now I am out of my rut, feeling creative again, and very happy with my life. I hope everyone is doing well and I'm sorry that it took so long to update......there just really wasn't anything going on.

Rotavirus

So Jared woke up early last Tuesday morning (around 4) covered in throw up :(. Big Jared was throwing up all night long too so they stayed in bed all day Tuesday. We were told that this was going around and it would last about 24 hours. Well big Jared recovered in about a day or two but little Jared is still sick and we know now that it wasn't the bug that everyone is getting, but it's rotavirus. He has been given two different kinds of medicine and couldn't hold the first one down, but the second one seems to be better, we just can't really tell how much it's working. Most of you guys probably know what it is but in case you don't it basically causes him to have severe diarrhea and vomiting and dehydration. He has lost about 5 pounds since Tuesday and hasn't really been able to hold anything down besides a cracker here and there and some juice. It hasn't gotten to the hospitalization point yet but we don't know when he'll be over it, it's been 6 days now. You can see his poor little ribs through his back and he's so sad. Wylee, thank goodness, still seems to be doing just fine, and I haven't gotten sick at all either, so that's good. Anyways, keep baby Jared in your prayers!! Love you guys!

New Pictures

I haven't really had the chance to send any new pictures of Jared and Wylee to anyone for a while now, so I thought I would put a few up here for you.

I'm Saved!! (jk)

Although the picture is EXTREMELY unflattering.....this is Jared and me on my big day! On February 16th I made the decision to finally be baptized. I had been feeling like it was something that I was ready to do for about a month now but for one reason or another I kept talking myself out of it. I won't go into detail but on Sunday I just had such an urge to do it that we almost went up to the church at about 8:30 that night, but we didn't. We decided that I would do it on Saturday. Jared wanted to take me to the temple and have a picnick and then head over to the church. The I remembered that my mom was going to be out of town so that's why I decided to do it Moday night instead, so that she could be there along with my dad, brother, sister in law and nephew along with a few of the families from church. It happened so fast we forgot to tell a few people about it that I would have liked to have been there.... (sorry Aubrey :) ). Anyways, there was a good turn out and if you can imagine Gunner and Jared put on QUITE a show. Gunner was growling at Jared and he was laughing as hard, and as loud, as he could. But it was funny and it helped calm my nerves. After everyone had cookies and brownies the Owens took us out for a little ice cream at Braums :). Needless to say, I slept pretty well that night.
